Bridge Builder
Hello and this is my work for Summer Learning Journey they have told us to make a bridge I tried to make the bridge I have added a car and the sun so the bridge wont only be there and hope you like my work
My name is Charlotte and I am from the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey team!
Wow! What an awesome job creating this bridge! It looks like it would be very strong with the triangular posts and the wide surface on the ground! What did you learn when completing this activity? Did you find it hard, or easy?
I appreciate how you have included a sun and car in there as well! It definitely helps set the scene. Perhaps the car has a whānau in it heading off for their raumati break!
I can see that you have put a lot of thought into creating the bridge and that you clearly thought what the best structure for the bridge would be and it looks like a strong stable bridge- Ka Pai!!!. Did you know that the oldest bridge in the world that is still used is a slab-stone single-arch bridge over the river Meles in Izmir in Turkey, which dates from c. 850 BCE.
If you had to make a real bridge what materials would you use and why?
Keep up the Super work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!
Ka pai Melody. What a smart idea to design your bridge like this. I'm sure all bridges and buildings start as a virtual plan like this. Have you tried to create model of your bridge to test it out?
Kia ora Melody!
